We have been going to this place for a long time for my husband’s sleep apnea an I had to write a review. Everyone has been great, but wanted to specially acknowledge Kaitlin. She is so knowledgeable, very pleasant, willing to spend needed time to answer questions and does it always with a smile. She is truly what customer service should be, which unfortunately can be rare these days and that is why we drive there from Princeton. They also have everything in stock and great prices.
This is my first time ordering from this place and so far I'm less than impressed. Order went through on Wed 27th I haven't received any updates I called after waiting on hold I was told that it would be shipping out today I failed to read reviews and purchased from here I need my Items so lets see how long it will take to get my order, I give it a 2 stars bc they did have the items I need and the price seemed good, had they sent me an update a day or 2 of ordering I would be happy.. but it should not take 4 days without updates to then be told it will ship out today!!
I want to shout out and thank Louis Baldwin for his excellent customer service. He went out of his way to research my issue and came up with the best outcome possible. Good customer service is a treat when you get it. thank you!
I find the company difficult to work with. They did not return calls as promised. I had to call them each time and after speaking with a rep. was put on hold. Finally, two weeks after placing the order, I got through to someone who said I needed to meet with my doctor before they could proceed with the order. Why did that take two weeks and why didn't they call me to let me know? Said I had met with the doctor in Feb of this year. Shouldn't need to do it again. Didn't help.
Went to another supplier and they said they would mail them right out to me. Took maybe three minutes and was not put on hold.
I do not recommend doing business with The CPAP Shop based on my experience. I was shopping for a travel CPAP and they seemed to have the best prices advertised, so I visited their site. Upon going to their web page there was an ad pop up stating you qualified for 20% your order if you provided personal information to them and sign up for their promotions. So, I provided email and even required to provide cell # for texts! Given that I was placing an expensive order I felt providing my cell # was a fair trade for 20% off. However, I was surprised to not receive the 20% at checkout so when I called to follow up on my order I was told that the "small print" calls out items not included in the promotion. This is classis bait and switch, not something you want from your vendor of medical equipment and supplies.
Most on-line businesses I interact with these days are very responsive with order updates to ensure a level of comfort with dealing with on-line purchases. I cannot say that is the case with the CPAP Shop. As I was placing the order on line from I was requested to upload my prescription, which I did. However, there was no confirmation indicating that the upload was successful, the website just reopened the same screen but was blank. So I uploaded two more times not sure if it actually uploaded or not. Upon completing my order I called the help line and explained this to the lady who took my call. She said that she couldn’t confirm if the upload took yet because it wasn’t her department but that I would receive an email in a few days stating that I would need to provide my prescription. She said I needed to disregard this email as it’s auto-generated and not likely a accurate. She said if they were missing my prescription I would receive another direct correspondence to this request. Does this seem logical??
I believe a week went by with no update on my order. Keep in mind that I spent over $1,000 so I’m more than a little nervous. Any updates would have been appreciated, even including, “still processing”. I had to call in to get a status of my order and it almost sounded like the order was not progressing until I made the call. I say that because it was almost immediately after I got off the call that I received an update the following day my shipment was on the way. I really don’t understand why it would take so long. I placed my order 8/9 and received it 8/19 with no updates had I not placed a call. 10 days seems excessive to me, especially with no updates indicating what is taking so long.
Finally, when I did receive my order I was not satisfied with how the items were packed. There was no packing material in the box. The individual boxes for each item were loose in the larger box free to shift and move around. Does this seem appropriate for a $1000 medical device??? Fortunately there was no damage and all the items function properly, but I’ve had Amazon retailers provide much better packing practices for items of far less value.
I can assure you that I will not be conducting business with The CPAP Shop in the future. I really don't think it takes much to satisfy a customer these days. Don't bait and switch your customers with deceitful marketing strategies , simple status updates of orders placed, timely delivery of said items, and a level of concern and respect for how these items are packaged and shipped is all I would ask in this case.
Ordered a masked and filters from CPAP Direct in Oregon, but e-mail receipt referenced CPAP Shop at Cooper Road in NJ. Credit card was charged, but not shipped. Eventually, I reached customer service, and they air-shipped the order when realizing the issue. So OK in the end.
I called there yesterday, saturday morning with an issue, I talked to a lday on the phone, but can't remember her name. SGe resolved everything for me, was very helpful and cutioue. Stongly recomend dealeing with these people!
This place is phenomenal. Came here to get supplies for my mom and was helped by Kate with pink hair (not sure if it’s spelled with a K or a C). She went above and beyond to help me every single time I stepped foot into the store. I cannot recommend this place enough, especially thanks to the lovely staff. Kate’s knowledge, kindness, friendless and willingness to help my mom find a comfortably fitting mask for her new bipap has made such a difference. Thank you so much!
